Game Schedules Discussion on the Coaches Blog
The discussion of this season's game schedules on the AYSO Region 22 Coaches Blog has been very helpful. You can read that discussion to learn the latest about the schedules, which are being worked on this weekend in hopes that they'll be posted before it's over.

I am really disappointed that the BOD has decided to have so many weeknight games and basiclly shut down all practice area's so we can't train the kids. There is no reason to have so many weekday games, the season for the youngers doesn't need to end before thanksgiving.
I am ok with night games as long as they start after 6pm. A 5pm start time is really hard for many working families.
I am O.K. with 5:00 and even 6:30 games when needed. But I do not believe that my 12 year old, let alone my 8 year old (U10) should be playing at 7:30 or 8:00 p.m.
It seems that the Region wants to make accomodations for people to get to games on time, but not for those of us that value finishing homework and getting showers and to bed on time for school. I too am a working parent, but my children's schedule, sleep and health take priority. I thought we were in this for the kids??
I went to post my vote and realized that I could NOT vote for my choice as I do not approve of either 7:30 or 8:00 games for my children. So - AYSO Board, please know that your poll may not give you accurate results as I'm sure others like me will not vote when the only options given are not acceptable.
Tonight was a disaster as far as space available for teams to practice. I heard some teams just left because they had no place to go. I also have been told that Los Coyotes was worse. Can you please give some guild lines so that I don't have any future problems, Can a coach show up at lets say 5:00 and put up his cones for a practice that starts a 6:00, (this actually happens) you all want us to get along but when someone comes up and says hey you have to move or make an area smaller or your team isn't here yet so you can't have this space or I need a third of the field what are the directions you all want us to do or they say I have to have a goal so they use the middle of the field I think that there is going to be some problems. What happens when a coach says "no" I need all this space and won't play fair.
The other night I heard that we/the region was going to have all it's games done by 11-17, my question is why is it that the younger's can't go until the second or third week of December. They used to.
Also what are the plans for the U14 rained out games.
The benefits come from a deeper training regimen and from higher-quality competition -- better games on better fields with better referees -- with a prescribed training-to-game ratio of 5:1.
